If you have more than one Android device (e.g. a phone and a tablet), you may often times find yourself wondering on which device a photo or video resides (or any file for that matter). BlueBox solves this problem by keeping your devices' files in sync at all times. This is done by locally pushing, via bluetooth, files from one device to the other(s).
No internet connection is required to transfer files.
-Not all devices have mobile internet connections at all times (ex: wifi only tablets)
Your files will stay in sync throughout the day so long as they are within 30 feet of eachother.
Your privacy is preserved with BlueBox.
-Unlike similar services like Dropbox, all file transfers are done locally. You will never have to worry about your data residing on someone elses servers on the internet.
Your battery is also preserved with BlueBox.
-Bluetooth is a low power technology. Using a mobile connection to upload files to internet based servers is costly, both for battery and for those with limited data plans.
Your data usage is decreased with BlueBox.
-Transferring a file over bluetooth instead of an email or cloud service saves you data usage.
Note: This is a Beta release and will expire on August 1st, 2013.
